We collaborate with communities, governments, Indigenous Peoples, scientists and progressive industry to protect nature and find solutions that achieve results for nature.

Wildlands League recognizes the importance of your privacy and the sensitivity of personal information.
Your Privacy Rights
Personal information is information that identifies you, or information that your identity could reasonably be deduced from.
Wildlands League is responsible for the personal information we collect and hold under our control.
Wildlands League adheres to the privacy principles set forth in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, and the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information.
What personal information do we collect?
The basic personal information that we collect is your name, address, and contact information. On occasion and by permission, we may collect additional information.
The primary purposes for gathering information are to engage our audiences, raise funds, better inform our work, and meet legal and regulatory requirements as a registered charity.
Specifically, this includes mailing information such as newsletters, direct mail and publications, processing donations, issuing charitable and non-charitable receipts, gathering feedback on ideas and ways to improve, sending invitations to events.
Wherever possible we collect your personal information directly from you and obtain your consent to collect, use or disclose your personal information.
Is Your Personal Information Secure?
Wildlands League will limit its collection of personal information to the purposes outlined above.
New consent will be obtained if the information is to be used for a purpose not previously identified when the information was collected.
Personal information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual, or as required by law.
Wildlands League has security safeguards in place that protect personal information against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
Wildlands League protects personal information regardless of the format in which it is held. Methods of protection include:
- Restricted and secure office access against unauthorized entry and theft
- Limiting file access on a “need-to-know” basis, with internal passwords and security policies
Our website engine WordPress is equipped with encryption to ensure security.
Wildland League uses Google Analytics to collect information to strengthen our relationship with supporters and better understand the needs of our audience. We use _gid cookies on data related to demographics, usage, and time of use. Information collected from this cookie expires after 24 hours. Wildlands also uses the _ga cookie to collect information from form submissions and identify users. Information collected using this cookie expires after 2 years.
In addition, all Wildlands League employees, board of directors, and other volunteers are made aware of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal information and required to sign confidentiality agreements in acknowledgment of this.
